The reliable method
- Stand at the target zone entrance. Read the exact recommendation displayed now.
- Read your Speed counter. Keep both values in the same unit, or enter K/M/B suffixes in the checker.
- Train the shortfall on your treadmill. The tutorial and captured gameplay both show treadmill Speed gain.
- Recheck before the carry. Updates and server state can make a copied table stale.
Dated examples, not a full table
| Evidence surface | Number reported | What it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Snow sign in a frame | 80.0K | A gameplay frame at 2:48 on Oct. 3 visibly showed a recommended Speed sign. |
| Recording narration / captions | 700.0M | The player mentioned a 700M recommendation before a Sky-zone attempt. The captured frame is too unreadable to count as visual confirmation. |
When should you buy a treadmill upgrade?
Use the visible upgrade cost and the Speed you gain per second in your own base. If repeated training is the bottleneck between you and the next sign, a treadmill upgrade targets the problem. If you still cannot sustain egg income, improve the steal → hatch → place loop first.
Gameplay shows an upgrade board next to the treadmill and Speed gain while running. It does not support one universal “best upgrade order” for every account.
Gate-ready versus run-ready
Meeting the sign is one part of readiness. Your route, traps, other players and the carried item still affect the result. If your goal is only to explore, matching the sign may be enough; if your goal is to return with an egg, learn the path before holding Steal.
Continue the loop
After you return, use the labels at your base. The Squishies guide explains how to read condition and income without treating either as a permanent global value.
